Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions that align with business requirements. Work closely with Product Owners to brainstorm and solidify requirements while addressing any gaps or concerns upfront.

  • Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs, information flows, and data architectures.

  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and team members during project planning sessions to outline and develop proposed solutions based on business requirements.

  • Guide team members by ensuring they understand the purpose and scope of new feature work, ensuring timely completion of user stories.

  • Review design documents with peers and architects before finalizing them as Architectural Decision Records (ADRs).

  • Work closely with business analysts and agile scrum masters to create epics and stories in Jira, ensuring efficient implementation by team members.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Technology Architect, or in a related occupation. Alternatively, a Master degree in the same fields plus 5 years of experience will also be considered.

  • Experience designing and developing scalable, robust software solutions based on Microservice architecture.

  • Proficient in using Spring, Spring Boot, and Maven to resolve application dependencies.

  • Hands-on experience with data formats such as JSON and/or XML, and developing software to transfer this data.

  • Expertise in CI/CD tools, automated testing, and performance profiling to improve application resiliency and robustness.

  • Experience with production support, including root cause analysis of live production issues within critical timelines.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding teams and taking ownership of deliverables.

  • Familiarity with core technologies such as Linux, Unix, Windows, Apache Kafka, Docker, J2EE, Jenkins, Spring, Hibernate, Java, SQL, XML, Apache Tomcat, REST, SOAP, Maven, JSON, Oracle, GIT, Junit, and automated/manual testing techniques.

  • Understanding of different SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and their application in real-world projects.
